About 4 km southeast of Fira, the lovely village of Messaria boasts, apart from its Cycladic inland charm, some of Santorini’s finest wines.  Its very name in Greek suggests its location almost in the middle of the island, so convenient, distance-wise, for visiting the caldera, the beaches, the archaeological sites and all the other places of interest.
